… Jesus called them together and said; “You know that in this world king’s are tyrants and officials lord it over the people beneath them. But among you, it should be quite different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must become your slave. For even I, the Son of Man, came here not to be served but to serve others, and to give my life as a ransom for many.”
Matthew 20: 25-28 (NLT)
While these scriptures convey the eternally important message that compels us to question which opposing reality we are to put our faith and trust in. It also subtly suggests a universally transcendent spiritual reality in which the Kingdom of God is always in perfect accord.
Absolute truth has no dimensional, temporal, or intellectual bias. For it is foundational to all creation, providing an eternally stable base of reference for assessing moral, ethical, and spiritual values. Truth serves to calibrate and balance our spiritual senses providing righteous directional discernment and a virtual sense of gravity for solid footing and upright standing in every conceivable circumstance.
The path of the righteous is level; you make level the way of the righteous
Isaiah 26: 7 (ESV)
In the beginning, there was absolute truth.1, 2And as the very embodiment of Christ’s nature is conceived in the totality of truth’s perfection, it could not be any other way.13Truth, while universally pervasive, is found at the center of everything seen and unseen.7,10, 13And while the absolute truth relentlessly confronts and confounds the values and wisdom of a darkened world,15,20 its reigning authority undergirds and continuously strengthens the Kingdom of God.21
From the ghostly sub-atomic particles held in balanced captivity deep within the ethereal dominion of the atomic core with its limitless store of energy, to the staggering immensity and awesome spectacle that is our universe, with its incalculable stars and galaxies reaching beyond our imagination, there is no more perfect continuity than all truth. And while the essential nature of truth is candidly guileless, its gravity and reach are limitless.16
Truth is not without profound reason, for it gives absolute value and weight to everything that is or could ever be.8Without the righteous orientation and balance truth delivers to guide us unerringly throughout God’s Kingdom, time and space would be irrelevant, for it is truth and its conjugal companion love which enrich us with divine significance, eternal purpose, and undying hope.17And, as an integral attribute of the functioning Kingdom, truth perpetually moves forward with time to inhabit every moment of every today still to come.
And as the mysterious realm of quantum theory implies the reality of hidden dimensions, alternate realities, and limitless stores of energy, we as believers gratefully acknowledge from the majestic scale and inexplicable order of the known universe which embraces us, that Christ Jesus, our Creator, and Eternal Benefactor, has the sovereign attributes of immutability, pervasive transcendental cognizance, absolute authority, and command of all the power in creation. Together, these power-laden virtues ensure righteous interaction throughout all the unseen realms and intra-dimensional realities he has created forever.
None of these astounding attributes, which he wholly embodies, would even be imaginable without the supra-eternal nature of truth. For the truth is irrefutably the same yesterday, today, and forever.9As a result, all love, faith, and hope are anointed in truth, as truth is incontrovertible and everywhere salient by its very nature.11, 19
The further a society drifts from the truth the more it will hate those that speak it.
Acknowledging the freedom of access we enjoy to truths weighty influence is our choice. We need only unburden our hearts and free our minds to wholly immerse ourselves in love, and faithfully attend the council of our Father, as truth unerringly speaks to us from the powerful conviction of his every word, deeply penetrating the sanctuary of our heart-of-hearts.10, 14, 17, 18, 19
Truth is virtually incorruptible from every conceivable perspective and its certain gravity commands the devout attention of a reverent perceptive conscience. Where there is truth there is no darkness, and where the truth leads, enlightenment and wisdom inexorably follow.12For God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in their consummate love and infinite wisdom, are the triune incarnation of all truth now and forever. 3, 4, 5, 6
Dear Heavenly Father, from the graciousness of your most loving heart, give us a righteous understanding of all truth as we stand expectantly with our belt of truth wrapped securely about us. Fill our hearts with revelations born of truth and grant us a clear perception of truth from every perspective. And allow us to fully immerse and purify our own character in truth, as we grow in Christ Jesus daily. For we rejoice in the certain knowledge that:
